There are actually many effective treatments in relieving allergic rhinitis. Some of them are bought OTC and others through a doctor’s prescription. Examples of these are:

- Antihistamines – this help to reduce sneezing, itching, and runny nose.
- Eye drops – helps in reducing redness and watery eyes
- Decongestants – helps clear the nose but they cannot relieve sneezing
- Corticosteroid – effective in relieving all the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and is usually considered the most effective among the treatments
- Ipratropium bromide – helps in relieving a runny nose

There are other medications which are also effective treatment for allergic rhinitis. However, some of them can work for you well but some are not as effective, be careful in choosing which one is good for you.
